Hoboken - Semi-Private Classes

Winter/Spring Semester runs Tuesdays, Thursdays and will be a 19-week session beginning Jan 4th. Two make up will be permitted for this session. For the Winter/Spring Semester the 2 make up classes will be on week 20 & 21(5/17 & 5/19, 5/24 & 5/26) at your same class day and time. Please note, we will have no days off this session for observed holidays, etc.

Classes take place at Xcel Athletic Lifestyle 125 Marshall St, 7th Fl, Hoboken.

All classes are a 4:1 ratio
All classes are 30 - minute long
19 week semester, 2 make up allowed

Classes for children aged 3 and up will have required equipment that we provided on the first day of class.

Tuesdays: January 4 - May 10 

In this class, swimmers will become acclimated to the water, get comfortable putting their face in, jumping in, retrieving submerged objects. Skills like floating, kicking, arm pulling and bubble blowing are also mastered at this level. Swimmer must be able to swim independently with only 2 of their swim floats to go onto the next level. Ages 3 and up only. Equipment required* Winter/Spring Semester runs Tuesdays, Thursdays and will be a 19-week session beginning Jan 4th. Two make up will be permitted for this session.

The primary goal at this level is for students to learn to swim breastroke for at least 15 yards. Swimmer can already swim freestyle and backstroke and will be improving their yardage with these strokes. Equipment required* Winter/Spring Semester runs Tuesdays, Thursdays and will be a 19-week session beginning Jan 4th. Two make up will be permitted for this session.

Students will learn to swim butterfly stroke and flip turns. At this level, all skills introduced in previous levels must be mastered. They will also improve their freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke endurance. Equipment required*  Winter/Spring Semester runs Tuesdays, Thursdays and will be a 19-week session beginning Jan 4th. Two make up will be permitted for this session.

We will work on getting the swimmers to propel themselves independently with good freestyle form and rhythmic breathing, rotary breathing for at least 15 yards. Treading water and standing dives will also be introduced. Equipment required* Winter/Spring Semester runs Tuesdays, Thursdays and will be a 19-week session beginning Jan 4th. Two make up will be permitted for this session.

In this class, The primary goal at this level is for students to learn to swim backstroke for at least 15 yards. Swimmer can already swim freestyle and will be improving their freestyle endurance to 25 yards. Equipment required* Winter/Spring Semester runs Tuesdays, Thursdays and will be a 19-week session beginning Jan 4th. Two make up will be permitted for this session.

Class for infants 5mo- 24mo

In this class we will cover a range of skills: learning water safety with your child, how to initiate swimming, developing social skills, and having a fun time with songs! Classes are inspired by a passion for swimming and creativity. Winter/Spring Semester runs Tuesdays, Thursdays and will be a 19-week session beginning Jan 4th. Two make up will be permitted for this session.
