We believe in our program so strongly that if you sign up for 3 consecutive weeks and your child does not learn how to swim by the end of the 3rd week, we will gladly give you your money back.

  • In order to provide results driven learning, we always have a student to instructor ratio of 4:1

  • Miss Yvonne Swim School camp day runs from 9am – 4:00pm with bus pickup starting at 8:30am.

We will enjoy a blend of the outdoors and indoors for the day in downtown Jersey City with a daily field trip to the Secaucus Swim Club.

Each day, we take the campers through a carefully balanced schedule of our key areas with TWO hours of swim instruction spread out in the mornings and the afternoons:

    1. Pick up in Jersey City (Grove St and Hamilton Park areas) and Hoboken (Downtown, Midtown and Uptown) and ride the bus to the Secaucus Swim Club

    2. Kick off our morning with sports in the park. Followed by our first hour of swim lessons (Secaucus Swim Club) follow by swimming enrichment time:
      Pirate ship on Monday,
      Water slide on Tuesday,
      Rock wall on Wednesday,
      Diving board on Thursday,
and free choice on Friday! ☺

    3. A picnic lunch (Secaucus Swim Club), then a school bus ride back to Jersey City for arts & crafts/science experiments (indoor area TBD, walking distance),

    4. Second 1-hour swim lesson (at Four Fitness - Hamilton Park), and snack time with bus pick up at Four Fitness - Hamilton Park to return campers back to their bus stops!

  • We allow campers aged 3 and up to join us. They must be potty trained, no swim diapers.

  • This year we have a pick and drop bus service for all campers. The pick up points are in Jersey City and Hoboken (2 in JC, 3 in HBKN)

Campers need to be ready at the bus pick up point by 8:30am. The pickup points are:

*Jersey City - 325 Grove St

*Jersey City (Hamilton Park) - 161 Erie St

    *Hoboken (Downtown) - 2nd & Bloomfield

    *Hoboken (Midtown) - 7th & Bloomfield

    *Hoboken (Uptown) - 12th & Bloomfield

  • Our campers are mainly from the Hudson County areas.

  • MYSS Camp in Jersey City has been carefully chosen with inclement weather in mind. We are excited to share that pending weather will not stop our fun-filled day. If we have a rain day, we will keep all campers in the Jersey City sites and swim indoors both times in the day alongside having our indoor space to facilitate all our daily activities, even on a rainy day.

Also we will only be going to Secaucus on 80+ degree days, otherwise we will swim indoors for both the planned swim sessions.

  • We provide all their swimming gear: goggles, cap, swim bubble, & swim bag to NEW campers.

You will need to pack 2 bathing suits (2 piece recommended for potty break ease), the MYSS towel & MYSS Camp shirt (we provide and send home on the first day for new campers only), spray sunblock and face stick, an additional set of clothing for emergencies in addition to what they wear to camp in the morning, lunch, and a refillable water bottle and 2 snacks.

  • Please help us by staying nut-free, here are some suggestions: Lunch: sandwiches (sunflower seed with honey) cold pasta salads, quesadillas with cheese and beans, hummus sandwiches with sliced cucumbers turkey/cheese roll ups. Snacks: sliced veggies, bell peppers, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, carrots, fruit (clementines, grapes, bananas, apples) with cheese stick granola bars, applesauce/squeeze pouches, dried fruit & seed mixture (pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds) muffins. We recommend a heavy carbohydrate diet for the time they will be swimming with us!

  • At the end of each week, campers will receive a short progress report from Miss Yvonne Swim School via email. We will also make every effort to send a video with swimming lesson footage of your swimmer in action as well!

  • All MYSS Swim Instructors are patient, friendly, warm and caring. Instructors have been trained on how to deal with difficult situations during transition and adjustment to camp. Additionally, by having a small 4:1 camper to instructor ratio, this allows us to closely monitor group dynamics during camp.

  • At MYSS we foster a friendly environment and with a 4:1 Student to Instructor ratio we ensure that each student is given special attention and care.

  • Registration opens in December 2023. Space is limited, please register early to reserve your spot!

  • Delivering the MYSS Camp experience requires Camp to incur numerous irreversible spending decisions many months before the summer begins. The Camp makes these irreversible spending decisions based on the number of Campers enrolled and in reliance on each Camper maintaining (i.e., not canceling) their enrollment and not leaving Camp early. Moreover, holding a space for a Camper may result in turning away other Campers throughout the year.

For these reasons, parents acknowledge and agree to the following refund policy:

    A. If a cancellation occurs on or after the first day of April preceding the relevant Camp season, no refund will be given.

    B. If a cancellation is received prior to the last day of March of preceding the relevant Camp season, the Camp will issue a full refund.

    C. As set forth above, if the Camper is dismissed from Camp for a disciplinary reason or leaves early for any other reason (including emotional, a medical reason, etc.), no refund will be given.

  • When booking we request our campers to decide the best suited week(s) to attend.

As stated in our refund policy - delivering the MYSS Camp experience requires Camp to incur numerous irreversible spending decisions many months before the summer begins. The Camp makes these irreversible spending decisions based on the number of Campers enrolled each week and in reliance on each Camper maintaining (i.e., not canceling or rescheduling) their enrollment and not leaving Camp early. Moreover, holding a space for a Camper may result in turning away other Campers throughout the year.

For these reasons, parents acknowledge and agree to the following refund policy:

    A. If a date change request is received prior to the last day of March of the relevant Camp season, the Camp WILL consider the request.

    B. If a date change request is sent on or after the first day of April preceding the relevant Camp season, it WILL NOT be considered.

C.In special cases this option may be available as a one-time courtesy and will be subject to date availability and other factors.

Please reach out to Miss Yvonne to discuss this further.
